Bonfire Night Events in Canterbury


Take a break from deadlines and enjoy a night of entertainment by going to a firework display. Although bonfire night is on a Monday, there are events and displays leading up to Monday 5th November, and even after this date. These are just some of the great, nearby events going on for bonfire night this autumn. So, wrap up warm and take a night off to enjoy the displays.

Tyler Hill Bonfire night:

Saturday 3rd November, 5:30pm

Tyler Hill, Summer Lane, Canterbury

This annual bonfire night includes not only fireworks; a BBQ, refreshments, bonfire, music and children’s rides.

Tickets: Advance adult ticket: £8

Adult on the door: £9

The Spitfire Ground:

Monday 5th November, 5pm

The Spitfire ground, St Lawrence, Canterbury

Head down to Canterbury’s cricket ground to enjoy fireworks and a funfair full of rides. There will be plenty of food stalls available there to keep you warm and comfortable.

Adult on the door: £10

Bluewater fireworks:

Thursday 3rd November, 6:30pm

Bluewater shopping centre, DA9 9ST

Bluewater will be hosting their annual firework display in the Plaza car park at Bluewater shopping centre. The event will also consist of turning on Bluewater’s Christmas lights to get you into the festive spirit.

Motormania Fireworks:

Saturday 3rd November, 5pm

Lydden Hill race circuit, Wootton, Canterbury, CT4 6ET

Just a short drive away are the fireworks at Lydden Hill race circuit. The event takes place throughout the day with a funfair, different races, competitions and an indoor bar. The fireworks will begin from 5pm.

Tickets: begin at £5.50

Ripple:

Monday 5th November, 6pm

Ripple village hall, Sutton Road, CT14 8JA

A cosy fireworks event will take place at Ripple village Hall, where the bonfire will be lit at 7pm, followed by a firework display.

Tickets: Free event

Whatever you do in the next couple of weeks, take advantage of the firework displays and events going on. They will be a great evening event to look forward to and enjoy with friends. From campus, outside by the library, the lovely view of Canterbury will display an array of individual firework displays so, if you can’t make it to one of the events, make sure to have a look from campus, amongst the ever-approaching deadlines, and enjoy this autumnal time of year.
