UKC Sports at a Glance (November)

Soon to become a regular occurrence, welcome to the first edition of Sports at a Glance! Every fortnight, your sports editors pick the biggest sports highlights at UKC. Read below to see the great charity events and sporting decisions below.

Ballin’

Charity events organised by Sports Teams have peaked this month. With Kent Cheers Masquerade Ball, Rugby’s Casino Night, Equestrian’s Wild Wild Kent Mixer and American Football’s Black and White Formal Night, the sports teams of University of Kent have been ballin’ in more ways than one. Other charity events consist of Netball’s mixed games, where members from sports team members from all over campus pay £1 to compete against each other, playing netball. Who doesn’t love an event in aid of charity?

Christmas Cheer at Pav

An event for all you staff out there. The pavilion is getting into the Christmas spirit early and have already published events relating to the festive holiday onto their Facebook page! December 7th is there big event, with drinks and a photobooth.

Sports VP

With the discussion of changing the position of Sports VP, Kent Union are looking for feedback from the students. What do you think of changing the full-time officer roles? Have you say now by messaging Kent Union and filling out their feedback form.

Team Kent Quiz

On November 19th, Team Kent are ran a quiz for all sports teams to take part in. It was a success, all the teams coming together with enterprise, battling it out to guess the star wars movie. Men’s Hockey won last year, Fencing won this year!
