Spice Girls Reunite!
Are you a huge fan of the Spice Girls? If the answer is yes, then you will be thrilled to know that the Spice girls are having a reunion! The iconic girl band have done everything, from meeting members of the royal family to covering the famous Rolling Stones magazine and even performing at the Olympics. And who could forget that iconic Union Jack dress? The band who originally split in 2000, boast nine Uk number ones, and after announcing their reunion, undoubtedly are back on the playlists of many.
The girls announced their reunion via a rather amusing video in form of a parody news report via various social media platforms, and have received numerous responses from excited fans, new and old alike.
The girl band will be touring all around the UK, South, North, and the Midlands, so no need to panic, there should be a chance for you to see the reunion without having to travel too far! They will be touring the UK over a six-day period next year (though due to the amazing reaction from fans, this is rumoured to possibly be expanded). The tour is set to commence on Saturday the 1st of June 2019, and will continue through until the 15th of June (I have listed the dates and locations below). The tickets will be available for purchase from Saturday 10th of November at 10:30 am - so save the date in your diary!
Current tour dates:
Saturday 1st of June 2019 at Etihad Stadium - Manchester
Monday 3rd of June Ricoh Arena stadium - Coventry
Thursday 6th June at Stadium of light - Sunderland
Saturday 8th of June at BT Murrayfield stadium - Edinburgh
Monday 10th of June Ashton Gate - Bristol
Saturday 15th of June - Wembley Stadium - London
Victoria Beckham, however, will not be taking part in e the reunion, but did however, I wish the girls well stating: "Being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish my girls so much love and fun as they go back on tour," she said. "I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time!" Though some fans questioned whether or not it will be the same without Victoria ( AKA Posh Spice), the levels of excitement have maintained high.
It has very recently come to light that Victoria Beckham may never have actually been asked to join the girls on tour in the first place. Leaving one to wonder, has there some form of tension amongst the girl band after all these years? The Jonathan Ross show saw Mel C state: "Do you know what is actually quite funny… I saw Victoria recently and obviously, we've all been in contact, she is still very much a part of the Spice Girls, she really supports us and we really support her. But she did raise the point that she was never actually asked. We just presumed." This then leads to disagreement among the members, claiming that she was indeed asked to take part in the reunion.
British singer Jess Glynne will be also be touring alongside the girls, and with Jess's outstanding vocals, the tour promises to be out of this world. Jess was also one of the many to announce her excitement for the tour via Twitter tweeting: "ARE YOU MAD! I’m Joining @spicegirls ON TOUR! Y’all best come through cause this stadium tour is gonna kick OFF!"(@Jessglynne), Jess in her own right is a very talented singer, without a doubt leaving her fans feeling even more inclined to go to the reunion.
No matter what politics seem to be arising from the tour, it promises to be out of this world, so save the dates in your diary, and remember, tickets go on sale on the 10th of November!
