Women's Lacrosse raise £1485 at Charity Ball

On 21st January, the sports club Women's Lacrosse hosted a Charity Ball to raise funds for Antony Nolan Foundation, which save those with blood cancer. The team sold ticket for £10, hosted a raffle and glitter station to raise funds, bringing in over £1000 which they donated 100% of to the charity.

Over 200 people attended the event, which took place at Tokyo Tea Rooms. The club collaborated with UKC DJ Society and UKC Circus Society to get well received entertainment for the night.

Emma Ursel (Women's Lacrosse Captain, 26) said that "the DJ society was amazing, it was an amazing night for a great cause!", when asked for her comments on the event. Beth Barber (19, Women's Lacrosse Development Coordinator) also backs up this statement, saying "the event was great all in all, I had a great night!". Fiona Desmond Collins (22 Women's Lacrosse Vice-President), who was the main hosters of the event stated that "there was a great turnout and great prizes!".

Well done to all who got involved and raised money for charity! Team Kent are outdoing themselves.
