Do you want to live the most environmentally friendly and sustainable life? These influencers help provide you with tips on how to live without chemicals, waste, or even meat.
Kathryn Kellogg
Kathryn Kellogg started to promote Zero-waste lifestyle after she discovered that she had cancer. She began to wonder what to do with herself and her body and how to improve it. Therefore, she paid more attention to nutrition and the environment and avoided plastic in any form. In her blog, she shows how to preserve the “health” of the earth. She is an optimist about climate change who truly believes that the future looks bright. She created ‘Good news Friday’ on her profile, during which she posts positive news related to the environment that always make my day.
Anette and Susanne Bastviken Anette and Susanne Bastviken are the sisters behind the blog and business, Radical Broccoli. They represent an eco-friendly lifestyle, and their vision is to make it easy for the modern person to be environmentally friendly and feel great about it. The sisters share the products, places, people, and food that is in line with their personal values. It is all about the small things we all can change in our lives in order to help the ocean, nature, and ourselves. I admire the way they’re inspiring other people, while making it a very positive and cool experience.
Lauren Singer Inspired by Bea Johnson and her book called ‘Zero Waste Home’, Lauren Singer is now considered one of the most well-known Zero Waste influencers. She is also the founder of the ‘Package Free Shop’ in New York. In her blog she gives tips and tricks for a Zero Waste life and shows how easy, cost-saving and fun it is. One of her fundamental pieces of advice is to ‘Start saying no. No to plastic straws, no to receipts, no to plastic bags or other plastic utensils.’ As she writes on her blog ‘Trash is for Tossers’, this lifestyle is simple and fun – but certainly not for everyone. But you can try!
Ellen Fisher Ellen Fisher is a young mother of three, raising her children in Hawaii with her husband. She is this generation's real food superwoman as she spreads love, kindness and sustainability to her social media following. Fisher is a great inspiration for all who seek to live a more sustainable way of life, love nature and the ‘alternative natural’ way of life, and for those bringing up children. Although I’m not a vegan myself, I like her non-radical approach to subjects such as veganism, parenting and home-schooling their children, and their simple island life.
Anne-Marie Bonneau Most garbage is produced in the kitchen. That’s why Anne-Marie decided in 2011 to start right there and to do without plastic and other environmentally harmful packaging. Shortly after, she became completely set on Zero Waste. On her blog ‘Zero-Waste chef’ she regularly gives tips for a plastic free life and recipes. Bonneau claims that even food can be waste. She believes, if possible, compost leftover food yourself, or simply buy less of it, so that no unnecessary food waste arises. To me, she is an inspiration as I am trying to reduce buying food in plastic packaging as well as food waste.
