Winter Wonderland officially opened on 19 November 2021 and is set to continue until 3 January 2022 in its usual location, Hyde Park.

In September 2020, Winter Wonderland organizers cancelled the annual Christmas event due to health concerns amid the Coronavirus pandemic. This year however, marks the return of Winter Wonderland and visitors are beyond excited.

Winter Wonderland is an open-air Christmas event located in Hyde Park which happens to be at the heart of London. Ever since its launch in 2007, it has been a major attraction during Christmas time. Reports confirm that more than 3 million people attended the 2019 celebration.

For this year’s event, all visitors must present a pre-purchased entry ticket upon arrival, which is either, off-peak, standard or peak ticket. Attendees are able to visit for free if they spend £20 on attractions, rides or games in the same online transaction.

For people wishing to attend the event, there are a lot of activities that cater to everyone’s taste. The most popular activities include:

Winter Wonderland is going to be slightly different this year. The organizers are taking extra safety and health precautions as well as following all government guidelines. Some of the precautions include: operating at a reduced capacity, requiring visitors to pre-purchase their ticket, and placing sanitation points.

The Hyde Park Winter Wonderland event director, Suzy Griffiths, said: ‘We are following the government guidance carefully and currently there is no rule regarding wearing face coverings at outdoor events, however we will be encouraging guests to wear one and should the guidance change we will update our protocols’.

Regardless of the minor changes, Winter Wonderland remains the highlight of the Christmas season in the UK; with millions of visitors attending annually.

You can purchase your advance ticket from Winter Wonderland’s website.
